Duty Manager
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced hospitality duty manager to take responsibility for our busy kitchen, housekeeping and retreat presentation at our award winning wellness retreat on the outskirts of Sydney.
This important role will work closely with our General Manager and Director to ensure the smooth running of our retreat centre.
Duties
Manage all aspects of our housekeeping department including working closely with our Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee recruitment, staff management, team building & communication, staff rostering, operational improvements, budgets, ordering and quality control.
Managing the day to day running of our kitchen including working closely with our chefs, cooks and nutrition consultants, recruiting and rostering staff, team building and communications,managing budgets, suppliers and stock ordering, quality control, storage room management and cleaning.
Managing the day to day running of our volunteer program including recruiting, training and rostering of our volunteers and management of our staff house.
Managing the day to day presentation of the property including working closely with our Property and Maintenance Manager ensuring that common areas are clean and well presented
Assisting the director with cabin improvements and upgrades.
Role
- Normally Tuesday to Saturday but flexibility is required to ensure management visibility on all shifts at all times.
- Normal hours of work 8am to 5:30pm although flexibility is required to be able to monitor the retreat in the evening.
- $85,000 + performance incentives + super + leave entitlements
- 40 hrs per week
- Must live within 30 minutes of Maraylya
- Start date ASAP

Kitchen Hand

Casual Housekeeper
We are looking for a reliable, friendly and fit housekeeper to provide a high level of cleaning throughout the retreat.
Jobs include:
- Making beds
- Cleaning cabins & public areas
- Assisting with packing and unpacking of linen
Availability:
The position is for 4-5 hours on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.
Due to the landscape of the property we require someone who is fit and able to carry equipment & linen around the estate as needed. Own transport required as there is very limited public transport in the area. No experience necessary, if you have a high attention to detail and can clean to a high standard in a set time frame then please apply.
Retreat Volunteers
We have an ongoing volunteer program where you can come and stay for free for a minimum of four-weeks in exchange for up to 6 hours work per day, 6 days per week helping out in the kitchen and with housekeeping. You are provided with a private room in our staff house. The staff house features a shared bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. All meals, drinks and snacks are provided as well as access to the yoga, meditation and mindfulness classes when not working.
