Autumn is asking you to let go

by resident naturopath Anne Currenti

As the seasons begin to shift, there’s a quiet change happening… not just around us, but within us.

Autumn carries a very different energy. It’s softer. Slower. More reflective. And while we often focus on what we should do for our health this time of year, the supplements, the routines and the plans and there’s something deeper that often gets missed.

Autumn is a season of release. Just as the trees begin to let go of their leaves, your body is naturally being guided to do the same.

But most of us resist it. We hold onto stress that’s been sitting there for too long. Old stories that no longer fit who we’re becoming. Responsibilities, emotions, and patterns that quietly drain our energy.

And over time… that “holding on” starts to show up physically in your digestion, in your energy levels, in your sleep, in that underlying feeling of being a little “off,” even when everything looks fine on the outside.

What I see so often in the clinic is this…People trying to fix their body — without realising how much they’re still carrying. Because healing isn’t just about what you add in. Sometimes, it’s about what you’re finally ready to let go of.

This season is an invitation. Not to push harder or do more…but to gently ask yourself: What am I still holding onto that my body is ready to release? You don’t need to have all the answers right away. Even becoming aware of it is a powerful first step. And if you are feeling that shift — physically, emotionally, or somewhere you can’t quite explain — you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I’m here to support you through that process, in a way that honours both the physical and the deeper layers of what your body is holding. A softer approach.

A more aligned way of healing.
